Derwen were one of the ten pathfinder companies in the pioneering of this publicly available specification (PAS) for performance. The PAS 402 was sponsored by Constructing Excellence in Wales and its development facilitated by the British Standards Institution (BSI) in consultation with waste industry stakeholders.The PAS is focused on the performance of the waste management company and aims to provide the customer with confidence that the waste is being handled in an environmentally sound and legal manner.Derwen was on of the first companies to achieve accreditation in June 2009, and annual audits are conducted to ensure compliance.

Derwen have achieved level 3 of this environmental standard which recognises that not only do we demonstrate a commitment towards environmental management but we focus and conduct our business in a controlled and measured manner.This system encourages continual improvement and we hope to continually build on our accreditation.
ISO Accreditation
We have now acheived the following ISO accreditation; ISO9001 in Quality, ISO14001 in Environmental management and ISO18001 Health and Safety. This integrated management systems demonstrates our high level of commitment towards continual improvement within our organisation.
